Diet/Supplements

Recently, I asked myself the question, “Are there any dietary changes/supplements proven to help with CLL symptoms or disease progression?”

I found this sensible-sounding perspective from Dr. Nicole Lamanna: “Can Diet Help Prolong the Watch-and-Wait Period?”

I also found some research/information regarding the potential benefits of taking green tea extract (EGCG) and turmeric (curcumin):

  • Green tea extract appears to keep cancer in check in majority of CLL patients

  • Green tea polyphenol “epigallocatechin-3-gallate”, differentially induces apoptosis in CLL B-and T-Cells but not in healthy B-and T-Cells in a dose dependant manner
